Rules of engagement
- Sanitize ruthlessly. No organization names, hostnames, IPs, personal names, or CUI. If you would not put it in a public gist, do not put it here.
- Argue the objective, not the person. Critique the example and the evidence story. Do not pile on authors.
- Justify every verdict. A bare label without strengths/gaps is not useful to the next reader.
- Say what would change your mind. Assessors and implementers both benefit from a clear “I would flip if…”.
- Report, don’t retaliate. Use Report for policy issues; moderators review with an audit trail.
How to write a useful verdict
- Pick the seven-level label that matches your determination, not the one that feels polite.
- Strengths: what an assessor could actually test from this write-up.
- Gaps: what is missing, vague, or only partially covers an assessment objective — especially when you land at barely or below.
- Map coverage to specific assessment objectives when you can; that is how disagreement becomes useful.
